The Norton is a self-catering hotel built around the realities of working away from home. We host contractors, engineers, project staff, NHS locums and anyone else basing themselves on Teesside for a job. Whether you're here for a single call-out or a six-week posting, the practical stuff is already sorted.
Two shared guest kitchens for cooking your own. Free Wi-Fi fast enough to actually work in your room. Free on-site parking (limited spaces), plus free street parking outside from 6pm to 8am. A self-service laundry for longer stays. 24/7 keyless check-in so you can arrive at any hour, after any shift. A communal lounge with a pool table and dart game for evenings when you don't fancy heading out.

Where you'll be
Seaton Carew seafront, Hartlepool. Two minutes' drive to EDF Hartlepool. Short drives to Teesworks, the Freeport, and the wider Teesside Net Zero sites. Pubs and takeaways are an easy walk along the seafront for evenings when you don't fancy cooking.
Working away for a few weeks?
We offer weekly rates for long stays. The room stays yours for the duration, you can keep food and kit in the shared kitchens, and the weekly price comes out lower than booking night by night. Is it quiet at night?
We're an independent hotel, not a bar with rooms above it. Most of our guests are here for work.
Where do I park?
Free on-site spaces for guests (limited). If those are full, the street outside is free from 6pm to 8am, so anyone parked overnight while at work pays nothing..
What if I get in late?
Keyless check-in works 24/7. The code arrives on the day, so however late your shift, the door is ready.
Can I cook my own food?
Yes. Two shared guest kitchens on site, plus shops, takeaways and pubs an easy walk away.
